Foundation of RAM

Richard A. Milroy, Jr. (R.A.M.) raised capital to purchase three loads of used conveyor Belt, which was shipped to Portland, Oregon, where it was repaired, slit to widths, and resold.

A Family Business Begins

Richard hired his first employee, his brother David Milroy, who is now our Global Belt Service, Project Coordinator & Business Development Director.

Leadership Transition

Richard’s dad Dick joined RAM, he and Richard started a small belt vulcanizing group in Elko, Nevada. They rented a 10’ x 12’ storage unit where they kept splicing materials and a vulcanizing press. Dick retired in January 2000.

Cleating Resources Launched

RAM launched the Cleating Resources Division in Portland, Oregon which made and distributed fabricated belting throughout the US and Canada.

1994
Strategic Growth in Elko

Richard purchased some land and buildings (including a 2,500 square foot shop) at the end of the airport runway in Elko, Nevada. RAM became the Authorized Distributor for Goodyear Engineered Products and began building an inventory of conveyor belt.

1995
Process Maintenance Division

Tim Horn joined RAM to start the Process Maintenance Division in Elko, Nevada. Tim was the President of RAM until 2024.

1995
Elko Facility Expansion

RAM’s Elko operation moved into a new 12,000-square-foot facility and launched the IMTECH Rubber Products Division.

2000
New Divisions Established

RAM launched the Coating and Lining Division

2003
ACE  Program

ACE Program launched.

2004
Arizona Expansion

RAM secured our General Contracting license, and we launched our Construction Division. We
also landed a project in Arizona that paved the way for our expansion into the Arizona market.

2007
Growth in Payson

Construction was completed on our Payson, Arizona facility. Temporarily leased a facility in
Kingman, Arizona. RAM obtained our R and S stamps and launched our Code Welding program.

2008
Major Facility Expansions

RAM opened a facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Broke ground on new self-designed and constructed RAM Corporate Headquarters. Sold interest in Cleating Resources and moved IMTECH product line to Elko.

2010
20-Year Anniversary

RAM celebrated our 20th Anniversary on February 11, 2011.

2011
New Corporate Headquarters

RAM moves into our new Corporate Headquarters and Service Center in Elko, Nevada.
RAM started the electrical services group.

2012
A  Milestone in Safety

Best safety year in company history, with no lost time injuries or medical reportable.
IMTECH launched full In-house production.

2013
Expanding Internationally

Began offering products and services internationally. Locations included Dominican Republic, Mongolia, Brazil, Mexico, Mauritania Africa, Cote D’Ivore Africa.

2014
Safety Achievements

Celebrated three years and 1.3 million man-hours without lost time accident.

2015
Global  Expansion

Three-year contract awarded with Rio-Tinto Oyu Tolgoi mine in Mongolia to provide training and complete conveyor maintenance.
RAM opened a facility in Las Vegas, Nevada to handle Southern Nevada and Arizona business.

2016
Underground Services

RAM expanded to provide underground industrial services.

2018
Alaska Expansion

RAM opened a facility in Palmer, AK facility. Focusing on rubber lining, belt splicing, and process maintenance services.

2019
30th Anniversary Celebration

RAM celebrates its 30th anniversary.

2021
Dune Express Project

RAM is awarded the installation of 84 miles of Conveyor Belting on the Dune Express Project in Kermit, TX. Opened facility in Odessa, Texas.

2023
Formation of RAM Industrial Construction

RAM Industrial Construction is formed to cover Industrial Surface Construction,
Underground and Electrical Services
Escpeway cans are designed and patented
Celebrated 6 years of no Lost Time Incidents.
